Clayton Sulphur Springs Celebrates 30,000 Homes Built, Odyssey Launch

Clayton Sulphur Springs, a modern manufactured home building facility in Sulphur Springs, Texas, celebrated the completion of its 30,000th home with an event on July 9. Team members were joined by retail partners and Clayton Home Building Group leadership for the celebration.
The 30,000th home is the first Odyssey model, a 1,916 square-foot home featuring four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The open-concept layout includes elevated features such as built-in bookshelves, surrounding an electric fireplace, wicker pendant lighting, two walk-in closets in the primary bedroom and a barn door designed for efficient use of space.
Situated in front of the home building facility, the fully staged home will be used to host events through the summer, giving retail partners a chance to experience all the features the Odyssey offers and learn more about other homes built at the facility.
“An Odyssey represents the journey to homeownership. It’s a home designed for life’s next chapter,” said Ryan Blackburn, general manager of Clayton Sulphur Springs. “Our 30,000th home reflects the craftsmanship and care team members bring to every home we build. We take pride in knowing we are building someone’s first home, retirement home, or forever home.”
Clayton Sulphur Springs opened in 1997 and has more than 300 team members, including three who have been with the facility since it opened. Many other team members have family members who have worked across generations. The facility is a significant employer in Hopkins County, Texas and the surrounding region.
