Celebrating the Journey to Clayton Conway
Clayton Home Building Group® celebrated the grand opening of its Conway, Arkansas facility in March. The ceremony, attended by Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and company leadership, ushered in Clayton's 41st home building facility and the first new facility opened since 2016.

Clayton Conway was in motion well before its grand opening, though. Team members were already hard at work providing attainable housing solutions for families across the nation.
March's festivities were the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.
"When government, communities and companies work together, then anything is possible," Kevin Clayton, CEO, said at the grand opening ceremony. "This facility is proof of that."
The Journey to Conway
Conway was an ideal location for Clayton's newest facility. Travelocity recognized Conway as one of the United States' "Most Giving Cities," which aligns with Clayton's commitment to Do good in the communities in which its team members live and work.
"Clayton brings a company that truly cares about people," said Jamar Murchison, general manager of Clayton Conway. "A lot of people say it, a lot of companies say it, but we live that every day with the environment that we're creating for our people."

Clayton is investing $42 million into modernizing a previously vacant 220,000-square-foot facility. The ongoing renovations, which began in December 2024, include a new conveyer system for floor, sidewall and ceiling builds.
Clayton Conway's climate-controlled environment allows team members to construct homes protected from severe weather events like rain, wind and snow.
Major Milestones Already Met
Clayton Conway completed its first home in August 2025, less than a year after renovations commenced. Within the first 30 days of operations, the facility had up to 20 homes in its yard, with 10 sold to local community partners.
In December 2025, Clayton Conway reached one of its most significant landmarks. After undergoing a rigorous process that magnified top-tier quality and commitment to safety standards, it received certification from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Homes built at Clayton Conway now carry the HUD label, which allows for licensing in multiple states and sales in markets that require certification.
Team members celebrated the achievement with a facility-wide lunch and commemorative t-shirts.

The Road Ahead
Clayton Conway isn't done growing. It will continue to develop and expand, which will increase its capacity to meet the growing need for attainable housing.
The facility is expected to build more than 3,000 homes per year and create over 250 jobs over the next three years.
"When you think about becoming a national housing brand, first and foremost, you've got to build as many homes as possible," said Andrew Bryant, business development manager. "So, with the opening of Conway, that means 3,000 to 4,000 more homes built a year, which means we're building trust and opening doors to a better life for more American families."
